MAC tips and tricks today and tomorrow

I found a really cool program to view openGL with objective-c from http://osx.hyperjeff.net/MyApps/Cosmos3d.php. The only problem was that the code didn’t build at my xcode straight away. This problem was fixed quite easily with changing the active SDK to 10.5.

I have now had some work around SEO-stuff. I’ve tried to get my “Pink tigers in Norwich”-page to come up as number one with Googles searches. It is working quite well and you can follow the process from the link above.

I thought for a while that SEO is not hard and fascinating. I have given this a little more though now and I have started to think that it is. It does not allow you to really make anything new, but it takes a lot to be able to understand what most other people want to see. It’s not as much of a job with any programming language(don’t mention that you get to use PHP if you want to and HTML does not hurt you either), but the job is to work with the main stream. <--more more-->
You get to work with this ideas of main stream, but you have also pay attention to many small things that most people don’t pay any attention to. Having the right set of keywords is really important and it helps to make the crawlers to notice your site and to make it easy for them to crawl.
There is so much more I should add into this article, so please wait patiently for more information.
Bye for now, C U soon

Fashinating Java

Haven’t really done everything yet, but I think I’m getting there. I’ve tried to build a simple aquarium app in which you can point the mouse at fishes and shoot them, in which case they would explode.
I’ve intended to do this with a GIF animation(which I’ve done already), but I should still get the whole image a little clearer for myself. I’m going to post additional details on this soon. Just check back in a while.

Most see browsers as some tools, which should not be modified too much. Safari though gives a nice amount of freedom to make some modifications. Firefox users will know scream that some browsers give more of these possibilities, but I’d rather not pay any attention to them.<--more read about the cool feature-->
Safari(4 at least) has the ability to make folders of certain bookmarks. You can create a new folder by going to manage bookmarks, if you want to customise the experience even more. Then you can actually open all the bookmarks by pressing command and clicking the folder.
Sounds incredibly easy and that it is. I use this feature for example to load all the comics I’ve bookmarked(bookmarked the dynamic main page as most guessed by now). This is just one of those cool features that let Safari defeat competition like Google Chrome. I still use Chrome as my main browser, but Safari has some nice features that keep it around. Something as light as Chrome just can’t have all the neat features that browsers like Safari have. If you favor some browser over others, leave a comment below explaining which browser and why.

The new MacBook Pro models for 15″ and 17″ displays have already received updates. They came out only yesterday, but already the’ve got some trouble in them.<--more read more-->
While many might think that this could be a bad thing I think the exact opposite. If there is a problem on a computer it should not be fixed in next two or three months, but straight away. My opinion is that Apple show’d some guts while doing this. Even if they might have gotten some bad publicity cause of this. My question is what do you think? Was this the right decision or was it not? Leave your comments below.

I had some fun creating the project and I thought I should give a warning that I’m going to post the source code here in a while read on

I read an interesting comment on the new iPad. NEVER buy first generation products. This was referring to the WiFi problem that the device has been having. go on

I have been planning I’d get a MAC, but the truth is that you’d have to pay for it. While buying a laptop that could run Linux you would save a load of money and get even more power to control what your system would look like. read more

Everyone knows that there are a load of file types. We have the common .doc, little newer .docx and the faithful .pdf. These all would work great in perfect world, but in this one I’m not too sure. read on
