I have been trying to do this for years now. It always seems to go close or no where near to the position that you would like to be in. I think that now I have found a position that is really good for me, but the next impossible stage would be to apply for this position.

I have already written some kind of an cover letter and an CV for the position, but now I should just wait to get some comments on these. I have tried to send them to people, who actually might know something about the process, but it just feels that it is impossible to do enough. Witch brings to my mind, that I should most likely go to the university to ask some of these things and not just to complain at home.

I think that I’m going to do that right now…

I have been thinking about opening a new page for the courses I do at the university at the moment. Many of the things that I learn about here are useful, but they don’t seem to have nearly as much publicity as I feel that they should get. This might even be a good project to do while at the UEA.
Statistics is an interesting subject, but it could get more attention in the web. Specially the simple things in statistics. They did not seem to get enough attention, because everyone was already supposed to know them. It is quite terrifying, how much stuff you are expected to already know, when you have just barely started your studies. I think that starting your studies on masters level might just have something to do with it.
Speaking a little more about the possible web pages. I thought that the IDE that wordpress offers is quite nice and for that reason, I would like to stick with it. I don’t think that the idea that I know something about the SEO side of the things does any harm there. But aside of that, I wouldn’t really mind writing the pages with just HTML, if they were given to me far free.

A little more about the daily word count that you should do. I’m assuming that something like 500 words would be the absolute minimum that you could survive with. Unfortunately, I think that my daily amount has been fewer than that on average. Now this text has about 250 words, but I don’t know if my daily amount is going to get really a lot more after I decide to go home. I know that the chat in FB does something and that IRC is something that helps also, but I don’t think that things like that are really relative. It is about the same as posting a “long” tweet. You can say that, but the truth is that you have not done anything like that. I feel that at the moment I’m more comfortable writing on a DVORAK than QWERTY keyboard, but that doesn’t have a significant effect to the quality of the text in my mind.
I think that this length combined with the email I just wrote might be enough. It isn’t really that much. but it will do for today.

I have been using dvorak mainly as my keyboard layout now for a while. I haven’t still completely forgotten qwerty, although it has gotten a bit slower than my typing speed with dvorak is at the moment.
I still wonder if my qwerty typingspeed would have gone up by at least the same amount, if I had worked with it as much as I have worked with dvorak. I’m still quite a slow typer. I do not know my exact WPM value, but I prefer to just say that I type faster than some people. Although I do have a few friend, who have a reasonably higher WPM count, than I do.
I feel that my typing speed might have gone up by some percents lately, but I think that the amount that it has gotten better might be too little to mention. How ever, I have clearly noticed that this type of writing does cause you to move your fingers considerably less, than qwerty typing does. This
While I have certainly made a lot of progress in my typing speed, I’m still certain that I should be a lot quicker. While I tried this one test to find out my own WPM, I got the sad score of just under 30 WPM. I don’t want to admit that my typing speed is that bad, but I do know that I’m not one of the fastest typers that you can find. This isn’t really a problem, but I think that I am a little annoyed with myself, for being this slow.

I just finished reading this comic book about one animators journey to North Korea. It was a disturbing piece of reading. The art wasn’t the best and there were no photographs included in the book, but the “authorities” at North korea might get most of the blame about these.
The name of the book was PYONGYANG a journey to north korea and this was made by Guy Delisle. The book showed that many of the privileges that we take for granted here, are not around everywhere, even though they should be.
The funny thing about this was how this book made me to question the western society. Even though I think that what we have is right, it is possible that someone else would see great flaws in our system. The people who thought that nothing could be better then in North Korea are fairly similar to the people who think that nothing could be better than in the western world here.
I hope that no one takes this out of the context and starts to blame me on hating the western world. While I think that many of the things that we have are great and I like how open we are in many things, there are still things that could be better.
These do include things like bureaucracy. While this has been a great model in the past, it needs some serious rethinking today. The amount of papers that everyone has to have is just mind boggling. I know that it is just easy to complain about a problem without actually offering a solution for it, but that is just where I’m going to leave this now.

Fist plugin I tried put all of the posts that my wordpress blog had on one long grid. While this could be kind of useful, it didn’t really let me handle how they were spread out and the outcome wasn’t really what I would have hoped for.

The outline for this one looks kind of nice, but I could use some time to figure this one out.

This solution is far from perfect, but it does work a little like it is wished to work. I wonder if this project could be done with just HTML tables, or is there another reason to include some other software? I we were using HTML tables, the lines between components would of course be taken away. The text ‘something for the friday’ should also be taken away, but I imagine this could be done easily by modifying the php code.

It wouldn’t be a trouble to add pictures or links instead of just letters here.

I believe if we actually talk about this we could get a real deal out of the thing. Only sure way to find out is to talk about this. A simple HTML table would be the way that would cause least amount of work, but there are several other very interesting ways available.

There are for example PHP plugins that could read a whole MySQL table and print the output to a table, but this would require a ready table of data to output into the table. This would be just one of the things I would like to know at our interview.
