I tried to start with a normal .java file and adding the imports to that file. This didn’t work quite as I expected. It turns out that NetBeans has separated servlets from the normal Java files. I thought that the only difference was that these had some different imports, but NetBeans does not seem to think the same way.
I hope to make a servlet that will write and read some kind of high score file from my game applet. I hope that this is going to be little easier to make in the end than I think right now.
Just wanted to point out that NetBeans is not just stupid, but does have some features

Yesterday I mentioned few things that I thought would not really work that they introduced in Keynotes. They also bought few things that are more than welcome and I think that they are going to work great for Apple.
<!-more read on-->

iTunes 10

First there was iTunes 10. Some people might think that it’s not really a big change and it can’t be that good cause it’s free. WRONG! This did bring few very welcome changes to the existing software. If someone is afraid that iTunes is just a really heavy player compared to something like WinAmp, they should try running it on a MAC. Few things that made this great were. First with iTunes:

New image. Yes iTunes finally removed the CD from their image and the new image gives it a little more sophisticated feel.

Ping. This is what Steve Jobs advertised as a Facebook for music. I don’t have a ton of friends who use iTunes, but this is one thing that could get more people using it. Nice idea and very welcome to iTunes. I’m still going to continue being a Spotify junkie, but a plus to Apple anyway. I was just surfing around and I found this http://tcrn.ch/duhxgK. It’s an article on what’s wrong with Ping. Many things on it I have to agree on.

A little more elegant look. It does look a lot like the old iTunes, but the little changes make it stand out. Very good choice.

That was the good changes with the iTunes. There were also some good changes with iOS. iOS has become a very important part of Apples system and that is a fact that no one can deny. Even though I’m not a great fan of this system cause it does not give full control to the user, but millions use it and they said that it has gone past PSP and Nintendo DS in gaming. Game Centre is a new feature that will let you play with your friends or with strangers with device wirelessly. It did not sound that great at first, but it does make gaming a little more social and that little more fun. I expect that this will be one of Apples greatest releases now.
So despite all my crying for the fact that iPods were not as great as I would have hoped for, Apple did bring some really interesting stuff out in their keynotes. This post was made just to show that the keynotes didn’t suck as bad that I made it sound yesterday.

My opinion on Apple Special Event on 1 September 2010. I just used quite a while on watching this keynotes. In my opinion it was kind of a waste of my time. New iPods are cool, but in my opinion nothing too special.
iPod Shuffle – Seems just like it was before. They actually made it better than the last one, but it does not offer anything that would make you want to buy a new one. At least not fot me.
iPod Nano – The new one seems really hard to use. It’s almost as small as shuffle, so it’s too small for many people. It has removed the buttons, which I like at my own 8GB nano. I’m really happy with my own nano.
iPod Touch – This seems to get thinner and thinner. I think it might even be a too thin for me now. The camera is a nice addition, but it was not really a surprise. This is a great device to get if you want to have one, but to buy this in the place of your old iPod touch is kind of a vaste of money.
These are just my opinions on these iPods.
iTunes 10 though seems like a great device. The new icon is a good addition and Ping seems like a interesting idea and I would like to test this one. This did seem like a great addition to the family. Really looking forward to testing this one.
iTV. Or Apple TV. This continues Apples system to throw out the nerd fans and to embrace the average users. I don’t really like this, but it’s the most profitable market, so I’m not really that surprised. I think that this might be a sad day for some nerd fans like me, but most people will like this anyway. Other thing that really worries me is how this will work in other places than US. I live in UK and I don’t think that this is going to work here. Though I don’t even really care to try this.
iOS 4.1 and the updates to iPads. Nothing surprising really. Some things that you just waited for them to come up with. Nothing really new and shocking in my opinion. Not really worth the hype.
That’s my opinion of keynotes on September 1. I posted these opinions when I had watched about 60 minutes of the show. Not the best of Apple or Steve Jobs. Even though I do have negative opinions on these keynotes, I think that these products are going to sell a lot.

I had some real trouble with one text I had added to each page. I got the text off now, but not from quite the place I would have expected. I used WordPress editor to go to the header.php file. In this file I edited some text that was before <body> tags and I happened to successfully remove that text. The only reason that I even touched the part outside the body tags, was because I was quite desperate about this.
The line I commented out was just wp_head(); inside php tags. This does seem quite harmless, but it added a big minus to my sites overall look.
I hope that someone with a similar trouble can find this. I still would encourage people to randomly modify some header files in their WordPress pages, that would just add some fun to writing contents. At least it does for me.

I thought for a while that SEO is not hard and fascinating. I have given this a little more though now and I have started to think that it is. It does not allow you to really make anything new, but it takes a lot to be able to understand what most other people want to see. It’s not as much of a job with any programming language(don’t mention that you get to use PHP if you want to and HTML does not hurt you either), but the job is to work with the main stream. <--more more-->
You get to work with this ideas of main stream, but you have also pay attention to many small things that most people don’t pay any attention to. Having the right set of keywords is really important and it helps to make the crawlers to notice your site and to make it easy for them to crawl.
There is so much more I should add into this article, so please wait patiently for more information.
Bye for now, C U soon

Firefox users will know scream that some browsers give more of these possibilities, but I’d rather not pay any attention to them.<--more read about the cool feature-->
Safari(4 at least) has the ability to make folders of certain bookmarks. You can create a new folder by going to manage bookmarks, if you want to customise the experience even more. Then you can actually open all the bookmarks by pressing command and clicking the folder.
Sounds incredibly easy and that it is. I use this feature for example to load all the comics I’ve bookmarked(bookmarked the dynamic main page as most guessed by now). This is just one of those cool features that let Safari defeat competition like Google Chrome. I still use Chrome as my main browser, but Safari has some nice features that keep it around. Something as light as Chrome just can’t have all the neat features that browsers like Safari have. If you favor some browser over others, leave a comment below explaining which browser and why.

If there is a problem on a computer it should not be fixed in next two or three months, but straight away. My opinion is that Apple show’d some guts while doing this. Even if they might have gotten some bad publicity cause of this. My question is what do you think? Was this the right decision or was it not? Leave your comments below.
