Many of you might now think that this is quite boring topic. You know how you launch stuff and don’t want to change that. The question is that are you launching them the same way I’m.
I launch many apps from the dock, as most likely people usually do on a MAC. But after getting a lot of apps, your dock is just getting too small. In these cases I turn to ‘Spotlight’. Many might grunt at this point that spotlight has been there for years, yes it has but how many use it still?
Spotlight is incredibly handy tool for searching anything on your computer. You can launch it either by pressing the magnification glass in upper right corner of your screen or by the way I prefer, hitting Command(the Apple key) + Space. This quick command can save you loads of time and it can actually make the computer more useful. You can launch applications using this tool or you can just open important documents, even though you know only the end of it’s name or something.

Spotlight is a build in feature in all intel based MACs, though it might also be found on some PPC devices. Once you learn to use this feature you just can’t live without it. I have also a picture here showing what does results on this look like.

This image should give you some idea on how useful tool this is, but you can’t really know before you try it for your self. Hope you like it, at least I have.
