I have been planning I’d get a MAC, but the truth is that you’d have to pay for it. While buying a laptop that could run Linux you would save a load of money and get even more power to control what your system would look like.
For me though this would not be a huge plus. I’ve just copied the look of MAC to Linux and that’s what I like the best.
I have been worrying about the possible viruses on OS X. I don’t use pirated software so I would not get anything from those programs, but the number of MAC users is growing and you’d expect that this would bring some viruses to the game. It’s true that this same mantra about viruses on MAC has been heard before, but soon the numbers reach the point where these viruses are just inevitable.
I’ve trusted my computers to run safely with out any virus software so far, but should I turn to using something like Linux next? What makes this really scary is, that I talked with one of my friend today, who has been so antiMAC and forPC to this day, but he started to think that maybe he could give it a go. So if we’re going this way, then what next? Viruses or heavier firewalls and other stuff to suck some power from your PC. Could this be the thing that puts MACs on the same place where Windows has been for ages?
