This is a thing to wich many have bumped into while using WordPress. Using WordPress as a SEO(Search Engine Optimisation) tool is actually really easy. Really good at it too.
WordPress has many ready plugins for this. You don’t really have to think on making anything by yourself, you’ll just have to know what plugins there are already for you to use. I will give some kind of list of those plugins here. I will present two pictures here and explain why I do have the plugins shown in that picture.
I’ll just begin to list these plugins and explain why they are in my pages.
AdSense Now! – You might have noticed the advertisement I have on my page. This is done by one plugin and this is the one
Akismet – This is a really good plugin to keep down your spam problems. Only few spam messages were send to me ever cause I had this plugin to protect my site.
All in one SEO Pack – This is just a great plugin if you think it of SEO perspective. It allows you to easily add some keywords and other important factors to your site to help the searchengines to follow your site.
Category SEO Meta Tags – As you can read from the picture, this is just a extension to AIOS which can be found from above
Contact Form 7 – Yes another one of those contact forms. It’s still good and this should be found on every site. The comment section on this site isn’t by this plugin, but it’s just the build in contact form of wordpress.
Dean’s Permalink Migration – A good addition to SEO stuff presented here already.
Follow Me – This is a great and easy plugin to get people to follow you in twitter. I’d recommend this to anyone that wants to combine WordPress blog and twitter. This just makes following you in twitter easy.

Google XML Sitemaps – I know there’s Google in the name, but this plugins handles all the others too. This is just to make the site easier for spiders to crawl through. Send a XML file of your sites structure to searchengines.
MyFirstPlugin – This is just a test by me to write your own plugins to WP, it was easy, but not really necessary.
PHP execution – This is here, cause I wanted to be able to run PHP on my site. A good plugin if you want to do that.
Twitter Widget – Yes this is another plugin to get the tweets going. This displays some latest tweets in the sidebar.
wp-table – This is a useful plugin to handle basic tables. I put it in here to test it and you can actually find some information of this project here on this site.
WP to twitter – Another plugin for twitter. Those who follow me on twitter know that every time I make a new post here, it’ll be told also in twitter. That’s thanks to this plugin.
yaCAPTCHA – This is just a must have if you want to stop spam. Even though spammers have gotten somehow around this, many of them have not. I haven’t received a single spam comment after installing this. I really hope this hasn’t stopped you from making comments also.
